FrostBed - Cooling Mat
Read the other listings first
Go and look at what else is for sale. You will find mats promising to keep your dog 5 to 10 degrees cooler than the air, all day long. That is not a feature. That is a claim no cooling mat on earth can meet, because these mats work by taking heat out of your dog — not by refrigerating the room.
Here is what FrostBed actually does. It is cool the moment your dog lies down, it keeps drawing heat away while they rest, and when they shift to a fresh patch it is cool again. Use it indoors or in shade. In direct sun it will soak up heat from the air instead of from your dog, and it will stop being useful.
We would rather you knew that before you bought it than after.

FAQs
How does it cool without gel, water or electricity?
The surface conducts heat away from your dog far faster than a normal bed or blanket does. The moment they lie down, heat starts moving out of them and into the mat. That is the whole mechanism — no chemicals, no freezing, no charging.
It is the same reason a tiled floor feels cold and a duvet does not, even though both are at room temperature.
How long does it stay cold?
Honest answer: it is coolest in the first minutes, and as your dog rests the mat warms toward their body temperature. When they shift position or get up for a few minutes, the surface releases that heat and is cool again.
It is not a fridge and it will not hold ice-cold for hours. Anything advertised that way is not telling you the truth. What it does is stop heat building up the way it does in a normal bed — which is the thing your dog is actually trying to escape when they go and lie on the kitchen tiles.
Can I use it outside in the sun?
In shade, yes. In direct sunlight, no — and this matters. In full sun the mat absorbs heat from the air and the ground, and once it is warmer than your dog it does nothing at all. Same story in a hot car.
No mat prevents heatstroke. Shade, water, and walking early or late prevent heatstroke. FrostBed is for making rest comfortable, not for making a hot garden safe.
What if my dog chews it?
It is a mat, not a chew toy. A determined chewer will get through it, exactly as they would any other mat in this category — the difference is that when FrostBed gets damaged there is no gel to escape, because there is not any.
If your dog destroys soft furnishings for sport, be realistic about that before you order.
What is the 60-night guarantee?
Use it for sixty nights. If your dog ignores it, or it is not what you expected, email us and we will refund you. We are in the UK, so returns do not involve posting anything back to China.
